You are best off speaking to your Internet Service Provider about this. Both of these domains are BT in some way, but I dont think the MX records are the same.
MX records are "pointers" on the Internet that direct email to the relevant location. If the pointers are the same for both BTOpenworld.com and BTInternet.com, then it should make no difference. If the pointers are different, then you cannot.
Either way, I would suggest you speak to you ISP first.

Why does my email address show up as btopenworld as well as bt internet?
I think that are connected as they are both bt.

Is my btopenworld.com email address still valid?
Easy way to find out, send yourself an e-mail to it and if it arrives it's obviously still valid. Hope this helps.

My current ISP is with BT and I have a btopenworld email address, if I change ISP can I keep my email address?
I believe that AOL allow you to keep your email address for life even if you change ISP

Yeah you can, because you can log onto your e-mail when you go to a freinds house, and they dont have BT do they....?

if you change ISP you can have a new e-mail address with them also plus there are loads of fee e-mail accounts you can get, like a yahoo e-mail address

i have an @ btopenworld email account from my broadband subscription with BT. I believe they have a tie up with yahoo and it is known as btyahoo.
I am moving abroad and wondred if there was a way i can keek my email account or would i have to create a new one - very painful !

My friend can't verify their btopenworld email address to use windows messenger?
It will not let them verify their email address. He thinks it is because his email adress it (hisname)@btopenworld.com

He never recieved the verification email, and when he tried to have it resent it came up with
"cannot verify my email address through this website"

How can I restore my email messages on btopenworld. Outlook has downloaded and deleted them from the server?
I have installed outlook and when it started it downloaded and deleted all the messages from my BtOpenworld Inbox.
I want to put them back on the server so I can access them from anywhere.
Is there a way to do this?
I have now checked the box in Outlook to leave mail on the server, but I need to put all the others back.
